Career Transition For Dancers is a not-for-profit organization that enables dancers to define their career possibilities and develop the skills necessary to excel in a variety of disciplines.

With offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and a mobile National Outreach Project, Career Transition For Dancers has provided over 41,000 hours of individual and group career counseling, with a dollar value of over $4 million, and awarded over $3 million in educational and entrepreneurial support. Outside of the organization's 4,100 active clients, Career Transition For Dancers has helped thousands of dancers in 47 states take their first steps in discovering rewarding second careers

GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS

Financial support is available to current and former professional dancers who can demonstrate earning their livelihood from performing as a dancer. Choreography or teaching dance is not applicable for meeting eligibility requirements.

CAREER COUNSELING

Career Transition For Dancers provides both individual and group counseling services free of charge to their dancer-clients across the country.

In New York City, call 212 764 0172; in Los Angeles, call 323 549 6660; in Chicago, call 312 666 0234. For applicants outside of the New York City, Los Angeles or Chicago area, a consultation can be conducted via CareerLine, their nationwide, toll-free career counseling hotline.
