Felicia D’Amico Velasco
Felicia has taught the Cecchetti and Vaganova Method of Classical Ballet to all ages and levels in New York City since 1975. She was a soloist with the both the Washington Ballet and the National Ballet of Washington, D.C.; and was also a soloist with the Ballet Nacional of Mexico City. Over the years, she made numerous Pas De Deux and Solo Guest Appearances in concerts and television appearances in New York City. She was most recently honored as “The First Teacher” of young dancers who are currently studying at the School of American Ballet and will soon be asked to join the New York City Ballet. Her daughter, Felicia E. Velasco, is a professional actress, ballet dancer and teacher with film, television and Broadway credentials, most recently seen on Broadway in “The Ferryman”. Both Felicia’s currently teach adults and children (all levels) at Sokol New York. Felicia, has had, and continues to have, on-going and current experience especially in “Hosting a Master Class” and “Question and Answer about your Career”.
