In the wake of the evolving coronavirus pandemic and industry-wide shutdowns, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has launched the COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund today, which will be administered by The Actors Fund.

This emergency fund will help ensure that friends and colleagues in the Broadway, theatre and performing arts community - onstage and behind the scenes - get health care, financial assistance and counseling during this crisis.

Broadway Cares has donated the initial $250,000 in hopes of raising $1 million online by April 12, 2020.

BC/EFA is asking for your help. You can make a huge difference by helping spread the word. Hope you will consider reaching out to friends, family and colleagues via social media and email to help spread the word.

Broadway may be dark for now, but today we need you to help be a light for the theater community.

Join BC/EFA in providing hope in a time of uncertainty and show the theater community that we are there for them during this pandemic.
