RAISES OVER $2,000 FOR THE
2013 BC/EFA AT ANNUAL FLEA MARKET

On September 16th, the best of the best of the dance and theater community were represented! Our annual membership meeting had gypsies galore, and a great show presented by DO40 members Karin Baker (director) and Patti Mariano (choreographer). Patti, Mary Lou Barber, Juliet Ewing and Bambi Jones rocked the house with a mini-concert from their Johnny Mercer Revue. This was our first time at the Shetler Studios Penthouse, and it was a cozy and inviting space.
DO40 Prez John Sefakis outlined the upcoming year's activities and enlisted volunteers for the events. Members seen - and heard - Gemze de Lappe, Gene Gavin, Ken Urmston, Darlene Larsen, Dottie Belle, Sasha Spielvogel, Karin Baker and Greg Kayne, Harvey Evans, Lawrence Merritt, Debbie Abel, Gitana Garcia, James Dybas, Leni Anders, Kristine Nevins, JoAnn Mariano, Christine Reisner and new hubby Don, Virginia Seidel, Will Mead, Stephen Reed and a gaggle more!
Rain, rain, went away, just in time for a fabulous day! We were inundated with people - Facebook fans, DO40 members and friends from the dance and theater communities. It was extremely hard work, but worth every blister!

Especially noteworthy is the fact that we only sold only one item for $100.00, and just one at $50 -- all the rest were small ticket items, Playbills, sheet music, books, albums, CDs and sundry tchotchkes donated by members (even a necktie signed by Milton Berle, donated by long-time member Jeanne Jones Snow in Indiana!). The DO40 volunteer crew was well represented - and in choreographed shifts, no less!

Whatta line-up!
And dare we say... we need Playbills every year!
